First flight...to Seattle!

Well, we took Will on his first airplane flight! We flew to Seattle on October 8th...of course we choose a 5 hour flight to be his first flight! Will was a total charmer to all of the flight attendants. They just wanted to eat him up the moment we stepped on the plane! Before we even left the runway, Will just fell asleep in his Daddy's arms without a peep. He slept for the first 2 hours of the flight! As he played for the next hour or so and after 2 successful diaper changes in the airplane bathroom, all of the people sitting around us kept complimenting us on how well behaved our child was. Of course, I start getting a big head about the situation. I should know by know that as soon as I feel really confident, things make a turn - and not usually in my favor. I decided since it was Will's normal time to go to sleep for the night, I would rock him a little bit so he would fall asleep. Well, since I was sitting in the middle seat, Will kept kicking the guy next to me. I tried switching seats with Sam, but Will just started wailing. UGH! So much for our perfect child! After a bit of effort, a few laps up and down the aisle and lots of shhhh-ing in his ear, Will finally fell asleep. Thank goodness!

We arrived in Seattle to find Grandmommie and Granddaddy waiting anxiously to see their grandson - oh and their daughter and son-in-law, but let's be honest...we take the back seat now! Will was a champ for them and just smiled for about an hour straight as we navigated our way through the airport and baggage claim.

The next night, I had my high school reunion, so we left Will for the very first time. Although, we felt very comfortable since his Grandmommie had already proven her baby whisperer skills. I think he was excited to spend time away from us since there was finally someone who understood everything he did and knew exactly what to do! (by the way Mom, why are you holding out on us? You needed to share these tricks MONTHS ago!) Anway...I digress. Sam and I had a wonderful time and actually went on a mini date-before we arrived at my reunion!
Will did so great all weekend and just adored his Grandmommie and Granddaddy.

Here are a few pictures we took while we were visiting!

Apologies and Updates

Dear Family, Friends, and people who found us through Google by accident,

I want to apologize for our long time between posts. So much has happened! Will has started driving and will be graduating high school in a few weeks and is on his way to Baylor (raise a child in the way he should go...). OK, he hasn't grown up that much, but it feels like it. It is amazing how fast little ones grow up.

He has developed a wonderful little personality and a great pouty lip. The lip thing he gets from his mother, and it has a very high success rate on daddy from both of them. Will has also discovered the joys of rolling over from back to front and front to back. He is quite the mobile child. Ahh, the days where we could set our baby down in one place and expect to find him there again are over.

Will also had a big accomplishment last night, perhaps his greatest of all...He slept through the night! Mommy and Daddy were so proud, and rested. I hope this is a trend and not just a one time teaser. Other trends I hope get developed include fewer "poopie blowouts" and fewer incidents involving the changing station and a "baby fountain".

Anyhow, Team Dagley is doing very well and I am posting some pictures of Will's growth with this blog so that you all may ogle his awesomeness and cuteness, a constant hobby of his parents.

PS - Your query of the day for pondering: Why doesn't Pampers make a diaper that actually holds everything in it? My soiled white polo and I would like to know...
