We had a wonderful Christmas celebration in Crawford with my parents and Apu and Mimi. It was all the more special because it was Will's first Christmas. He had no idea what was going on. I thought the highlight of the day was seeing all the nice toys he had received pushed to the side so that he could wrestle with and gnaw on the wrapping. Note to parents, don't buy the toys, just spend the $1.50 on the wrapping paper and you are set. Sadly, I think young William was exhausted by a particularly fierce battle with a Green Bow and he went down for a nap and missed the rest of the package opening ceremony. He did not seem to mind.
Will also met Santa Claus for the first time this year, who conveniently stopped by the Sugar Land Town Center Mall just days before his annual sleigh ride. While Mommy tried to get Will to focus on the camera, young master William was more interested in Santa's beard and the white fuzzy trim on his coat. But, the pictures are wonderful memories none the less.
More recently, we have noticed some major developments in Will! About two weeks ago we noticed that he could get up onto his hands and his tippy toes. This pleased/alarmed Mommy and Daddy who are now in the process of moving everything in the house to at least 4 feet above "baby level". Just yesterday, Will made his first crawl! He saw the remote and just had to have it and took a little knee forward and then lunged. Then he started to cry. Most likely because Mommy and Daddy started screaming like banchee's about our little boys progress. He is growing up so quickly! I am now under the firm belief that if you can crawl, you can mow a lawn, so this spring should be much more relaxing for me...
We hope to do better about keeping our family, friends, acquaintances, etc. better informed via the blog, but like all New Year's resolutions, we'll see how it goes. I have posted some pictures below! Enjoy!
The pictures are adorable! Love the bath towel one! Hope you guys are doing great!
